Mary and Gabriel
Many years after the prophets and great leaders of the Old Testament passed away, God selected a young maiden named Mary to be the mother of the Savior. The angel Gabriel told Mary that she was to conceive a child and was to name him Jesus. Mary was troubled because she was a virgin, and she asked Gabriel how this could come to pass.
The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”
– Luke 1:35
Hence the promise given to Eve that from her seed would come a redeemer is to find it’s fulfillment in Mary.
