The Gift

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
– Matthew 7:7, 8

When we ask the Lord for something, we ask in prayer. If you would like Jesus to come into your life, say this short prayer and believe:

Father, forgive me, for I am a sinner. Help me to make a new life through the sacrifice of your son. I accept Jesus as Lord in my life, and through your grace, repent all wrongdoing.

If you celebrate Christmas by exchanging gifts this year, give out of love, not based upon merit, just as the heavenly Father gives to you. Let the receiver of the gift know it’s from you, and how much they mean to you, but never forget that the greatest gift of all is from God and a cause for eternal celebration!

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”
– Ephesians 2:8
